The Avantco 177PSWSWITCH Toggle Switch is an OEM replacement component for Avantco warming equipment, fryers, grills, and other commercial food service equipment. This toggle switch provides simple on/off control of equipment power or heating elements. The switch must be rated for the electrical load of the equipment and operate reliably through frequent daily use in a busy commercial kitchen.

Toggle switches require replacement when they become corroded, fail to make electrical contact, stick in one position, the toggle actuator breaks, or the switch mechanism becomes loose. A failed toggle switch prevents the equipment from powering on or leaving it locked in the on position. A switch that gets stuck prevents normal equipment operation or creates a safety concern.

Installation of the 177PSWSWITCH requires the equipment to be disconnected from electrical power. The old switch is unbolted or unscrewed from its mounting location and electrical leads are carefully disconnected. The new toggle switch is installed in the same position and electrical connections are restored to their proper terminals, maintaining correct polarity. Standard hand tools are required. After installation and before returning the equipment to service, verify the toggle moves smoothly between on and off positions and the equipment responds correctly to each switch position. Periodic switch testing ensures reliable operation.
