PRODUCT OVERVIEW
17817738 Condensate Pan
Details
The Avantco 17817738 Condensate Pan is an OEM replacement component for Avantco reach-in coolers, freezers, and other refrigeration equipment. The condensate pan is positioned beneath the evaporator coil and collects condensation water that forms during normal refrigeration operation. The pan must be properly shaped to direct all condensate toward the drain outlet, preventing water accumulation that could damage equipment or promote mold growth.
Condensate pans require replacement when they become cracked, corrode, develop holes, pull away from their mounting location, or the drain connection becomes loose. A damaged pan cannot properly collect condensate, allowing water to accumulate in the cabinet or drip onto products below. Accumulated water promotes mold and mildew growth and can damage food and equipment.
Installation of the 17817738 involves positioning the new condensate pan beneath the evaporator coil and ensuring the drain outlet aligns with the drain line connection. The pan is secured with fasteners to prevent movement. The drain connection must be tight to prevent leakage. Standard hand tools are required. After installation, verify the pan is level and secure in its proper position. Pour water into the pan to confirm it drains properly without leakage. Periodic cleaning and inspection of the pan prevents clogging and ensures proper condensate drainage.
