The Avantco 423HDMAA0710 On/Off Switch is an OEM replacement component for Avantco commercial food service equipment. This switch controls the primary power supply or heating element activation and must be rated for the electrical specifications of the equipment. The switch provides simple binary control for equipment on/off operation.
On/off switches require replacement when they fail to make or break electrical contact, become corroded, stick in one position, or the actuator breaks. A failed on/off switch either prevents the equipment from powering on or leaves it locked in the on position. A switch that sticks in one position prevents normal equipment control.
Installation of the 423HDMAA0710 requires the equipment to be disconnected from electrical power. The old switch is removed from its mounting location and electrical connections are carefully disconnected. The new on/off switch is installed in the same position and electrical connections are restored to their proper terminals. Standard hand tools are required. After installation and before returning the equipment to service, verify the switch actuates smoothly between on and off positions and the equipment responds appropriately to each position.
