Details

The air filter assembly mounts on the condenser air intake of Manitowoc air-cooled ice machines and captures airborne dust, grease, and debris before these contaminants can accumulate on the condenser coil fins. In commercial kitchen environments, the combination of grease-laden air and high air volumes drawn through the condenser can rapidly coat the coil, dramatically reducing airflow and forcing the refrigerant system to operate at elevated head pressure. Maintaining a clean air filter is far easier than degreasing a fouled condenser coil.

A missing, damaged, or heavily clogged air filter allows contaminants to accumulate directly on the condenser coil fins, progressively restricting airflow, raising head pressure, and reducing daily ice output. In high-grease kitchen environments near fryers, condenser fouling without an air filter can occur within weeks.
