Constant rolling under load on commercial kitchen floors gradually wears the wheel and bearing of a caster, leading to binding, wobble, or a wheel that no longer turns freely.
Replacement should be performed by a technician with the unit safely supported and unloaded from the affected corner. Remove the fasteners securing the worn caster to the equipment base, detach it, and install the new caster in the same mounting position, securing it with the original hardware. Lower the unit and confirm it rolls smoothly and sits level before returning it to service.
