The ASCO Red Hat 8215B070 is a 1-1/2" NPT, 2-way normally closed gas safety shutoff valve for commercial kitchen and industrial heating applications that require automatic gas control on larger-diameter gas trains. Part of the proven Series 8215 Red Hat II family, this valve is rated for natural gas and LP service and is commonly found in high-BTU commercial cooking equipment including charbroilers, braising pans, steam jacketed kettles, and other heavy-duty gas-fired appliances. Its normally closed design ensures gas is automatically shut off whenever power is lost, providing the fail-safe behavior required by commercial kitchen gas codes and equipment standards.

Built with a durable aluminum body, 1-5/8" orifice, and NBR seals, the 8215B070 delivers a 35 Cv flow coefficient supporting up to 1,900,000 BTU/hr — the highest capacity in the Series 8215 lineup's standard sizes.
