The ASCO Red Hat 8215B080 is a 2" NPT, 2-way normally closed gas safety shutoff valve designed for the largest commercial gas trains found in high-volume commercial kitchen and industrial heating applications. As the largest standard size in the Series 8215 Red Hat II family, this valve is built for high-BTU equipment including large steam kettles, commercial ovens, boilers, and heavy-duty gas-fired cooking systems operating on 2" gas supply lines. Its normally closed design guarantees that gas flow stops immediately any time electrical power is cut, providing the automatic fail-safe behavior required by commercial codes and ANSI Z21.21/CGA 6.5 automatic gas valve standards.

The 8215B080 features a durable aluminum body with a 2-3/32" orifice, NBR seals, and a 60 Cv flow coefficient — supporting gas capacity up to 3,251,000 BTU/hr at pressures from 0 to 25 PSI. Operating on 120V AC at 15.4 watts, the valve shares the same coil (099257-001-D) used across the Series 8215 family, making coil replacement straightforward for technicians already familiar with this product line. The Red Hat II operator provides a clear visual open/close indication for quick status confirmation during commissioning and service calls.

The ASCO 8215B080 is the 2" member of the Series 8215 gas valve family and rounds out the standard size range alongside the 8215G030 (3/4"), 8215B050 (1"), 8215B60 (1-1/4"), and 8215B070 (1-1/2") models. The CSA-rated variant may also appear with the suffix "CSA" or abbreviated as "8215B80" — all refer to the same valve.
