The Avantco 177PHCD016 On/Off Rocker Switch is an OEM replacement component for Avantco warming equipment, proofing units, and holding cabinets. This switch controls the primary power supply to the heating element and is operated by a rocker-style actuator for easy on/off control. The switch is a critical component that must be rated for the electrical load and operating conditions specific to warming and proofing equipment.

On/off rocker switches require replacement when they become corroded, fail to make or break electrical contact reliably, stick in one position, or the rocker actuator breaks or becomes loose. A failed switch prevents the equipment from powering on, leaving heating elements inactive and making the unit inoperable. Additionally, a switch that gets stuck in the "on" position can cause uncontrolled heating and potential temperature damage to food products.

Installation of the 177PHCD016 requires the equipment to be disconnected from electrical power at the breaker.
