PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Avantco 177PRGCHAIN 19" Replacement Chain

Details
The Avantco 177PRGCHAIN 19" Replacement Chain is an OEM replacement component for Avantco pizza and food preparation equipment that uses a mechanical chain drive system. This 19-inch stainless steel or coated steel chain transmits rotational power from a motor to food preparation mechanisms such as dough mixers, rotisserie spits, or conveyor systems. The chain must be properly sized and tensioned to reliably transmit power without slipping.
Chains require replacement when they become stretched, develop rust or corrosion, accumulate food debris that increases friction, break or develop missing links, or fail to maintain proper tension. A worn or damaged chain slips during operation, causing the driven equipment to stop or operate intermittently. A broken chain completely prevents equipment operation and can cause sudden shutdowns during food service.
Installation of the 177PRGCHAIN involves removing the old chain by opening or breaking one link, disassembling mounting brackets if necessary, and threading the new chain onto the sprockets or drive components. Standard hand tools and a chain breaker tool are required for this work. The new chain must be tensioned correctly according to equipment specifications, with proper slack to allow for thermal expansion and contraction. After installation, the chain drive system should be tested to verify smooth, quiet operation and proper power transmission. Periodic chain inspection and lubrication extends service life and prevents unexpected failures.
