    The Avantco 177PSWTHERM Infinite Switch is an OEM replacement component for Avantco warming equipment, proofing cabinets, and holding equipment. This is an infinite switch that provides continuous variable control of heating element power, allowing operators to adjust heat output from zero to maximum. The switch enables precise temperature control and allows equipment to maintain whatever heating level is required for specific applications.

    Infinite switches require replacement when they become corroded, fail to provide power to the heating element, stick in one position, or the dial mechanism becomes damaged. A failed infinite switch either prevents the equipment from heating at all or leaves it locked in a fixed heating position. A switch that cannot adjust heating prevents operators from achieving desired temperatures.

    Installation of the 177PSWTHERM requires the equipment to be disconnected from electrical power. The old switch is unbolted from its mounting location and electrical connections are carefully disconnected. The new infinite switch is positioned in the same location, secured with fasteners, and electrical connections are restored to their proper terminals. Standard hand tools are required. After installation and before returning the equipment to service, verify that the switch turns smoothly through its full range and that the heating element responds appropriately to dial changes.
