    The Avantco 177PTHERM2 Infinite Control is an OEM replacement component for Avantco commercial warming cabinets rated for 240V operation at 13.5A electrical capacity. This infinite range thermostat control allows operators to set any desired temperature between the minimum and maximum limits, providing precise temperature regulation for various food types and holding applications.

    Infinite range controls fail when the variable resistor element loses electrical responsiveness, internal switch contacts develop pitting and arcing damage, or the temperature sensing element loses accuracy through normal wear. A non-functional infinite control prevents temperature adjustment, either freezing the heating element in an on or off position. This results in inability to customize cabinet temperature for different products or operational needs.

    Installation of the Avantco 177PTHERM2 should be performed by a qualified kitchen equipment technician or electrician after completely isolating electrical power. The technician will locate the old infinite control on the cabinet exterior, carefully disconnect electrical wires noting their positions, remove the old control, install the new control in the same location with all wires properly reconnected to matching terminals, and verify secure wire connections.
