This drain pan collects condensate water that forms on the evaporator coil during normal refrigeration operation, channeling the water through the drain tubing to an external drain or waste system. The drain pan is essential for maintaining clean interior conditions and preventing water damage to critical refrigeration components.
Evaporator drain pans deteriorate due to corrosion from exposure to condensate water and mineral compounds, cracks or holes that allow water leakage into the cabinet, vibration-induced disconnection from mounting points, or mineral and debris blockage of drainage holes.
