The Avantco 17812362 compressor is an OEM replacement part for select Avantco commercial refrigeration units including reach-in coolers, freezers, and undercounter refrigerators. This compressor is the mechanical heart of the refrigeration system, compressing refrigerant gas to create the pressure differential necessary for the refrigeration cycle. The compressor circulates refrigerant through the system continuously to maintain safe food storage temperatures.
Compressors fail through extended operation under heavy loads, contamination of the refrigerant circuit with moisture or acid causing internal corrosion, depletion of lubricating oil from refrigerant leaks, mechanical wear of internal parts, or electrical motor winding failures.
