The Avantco 17812873HC Evaporator Coil is an OEM replacement refrigerant exchanger for Avantco commercial refrigeration equipment. This coil contains refrigerant that evaporates to absorb heat from the cabinet interior, providing the cooling capacity necessary to maintain food storage temperatures. The coil design facilitates optimal heat transfer to keep products at the setpoint temperature.

When an evaporator coil degrades, it may develop refrigerant leaks that reduce cooling capacity, leak oil onto products stored in the cabinet, or lose pressure entirely. Coil corrosion or ice buildup can restrict refrigerant flow, causing the compressor to work harder and potentially overheat. A failed coil forces complete evacuation of the refrigeration system and recharge after coil replacement.
