The Avantco 17813347 evaporator coil is an OEM replacement component for select Avantco commercial refrigeration equipment including reach-in coolers, undercounter refrigerators, and display cases. This evaporator coil functions as the core heat exchange element in the refrigeration system, absorbing thermal energy from the refrigerated cabinet and working in conjunction with the compressor and condenser to maintain optimal temperatures.
Evaporator coil failure modes include refrigerant leaks from connection points or coil fractures, corrosion from prolonged exposure to moisture and commercial kitchen salt air, and airflow blockage from ice formation or dust accumulation. Failure symptoms include inadequate cooling, temperature swings, partial or no cooling in certain areas, and visible frost or ice on the coil.
