PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Avantco 17815283 Evaporator Coil
Details
The Avantco 17815283 Evaporator Coil is an OEM replacement refrigerant heat exchanger for Avantco commercial refrigeration equipment that absorbs heat from the cabinet interior as refrigerant evaporates inside it. This coil is the primary heat exchange surface that provides the cooling capacity needed to maintain storage temperatures.
When an evaporator coil degrades, it may develop refrigerant leaks that reduce cooling capacity and potentially contaminate products with refrigerant or oil. Coil corrosion or ice buildup restricts refrigerant flow, causing temperature control failure. A completely failed coil requires full system evacuation, repair, and recharge by a certified technician.
Installation of the 17815283 requires a certified refrigeration technician to recover refrigerant from the system using approved equipment, disconnect the old coil from refrigerant lines, and install the new coil with proper brazing or mechanical connections. The system must be pressure tested, evacuated to remove moisture, and recharged with the correct refrigerant type and quantity. Proper defrost cycle operation prevents ice buildup and extends coil life.
