This evaporator coil serves as the primary heat exchange element that transfers thermal energy from the cabinet interior to the refrigerant, enabling the refrigeration system to maintain proper temperatures for food storage and preservation throughout commercial kitchen operations.
Evaporator coils degrade through refrigerant leaks caused by vibration stress or manufacturing defects, corrosion from moisture and salt air exposure, thermal cycling stress that cracks coil materials, or ice accumulation that blocks refrigerant flow and damages the coil.
