The Avantco 178HINGCFDBM Middle Hinge Bracket is an OEM replacement component for Avantco glass door freezer and cooler display cases with multiple-section doors. This bracket is positioned at the center or middle point of the door frame and provides intermediate structural support between top and bottom hinge assemblies. The middle bracket distributes the weight of large glass doors more evenly and prevents sagging or warping of the door during operation.
Middle hinge brackets require replacement when they become bent, corroded, cracked, or damaged from the sustained stress of supporting large glass doors. When a middle bracket deteriorates or fails, the door between the top and bottom hinges will sag noticeably, creating gaps that prevent proper sealing. This allows warm air and humidity to enter the display cabinet, compromising internal temperature and causing product deterioration or spoilage.
