The Avantco 178UC27KITFR Field Reversible Hinge Kit is an OEM replacement kit designed to enable field conversion of door hinge orientation on Avantco undercounter refrigerators and freezers. This kit allows technicians to convert the door from left-hinged to right-hinged configuration, or reverse the swing direction, without removing the unit from service. The kit includes all necessary hinge components, brackets, pins, and fasteners for complete field reversal.

Field reversible hinge kits are used when equipment placement or operational workflow requires the door to open in a different direction. Converting hinges using improper methods or non-OEM parts can result in misalignment, inadequate sealing, binding, or premature hinge failure that compromises undercounter unit performance. Proper conversion using an OEM kit ensures the door will operate reliably in its new orientation.
