This assembly combines the drain pan, drain tubing, and electrical heater elements needed to manage condensate and defrost the evaporator coil during defrost cycles. The assembly ensures proper drainage and temperature control in commercial refrigeration systems.
Drain and heater assemblies fail due to heater element burnout from electrical overcurrent or age, drain blockage from mineral deposits or debris, disconnection of components from vibration and movement, or corrosion of metal components from prolonged moisture exposure. Symptoms of failure include water pooling inside the cabinet, inadequate defrosting, frost accumulation on the coil, compressor overheating, or water leaking from the unit exterior.
