The Avantco Ice 19493650 compressor is an OEM replacement part for select Avantco commercial ice machines. This compressor serves as the mechanical heart of the ice machine's refrigeration system, compressing refrigerant gas and pumping it through the system to remove heat from the ice mold and freezing surface. The compressor is essential for enabling ice production in commercial ice-making applications.
Ice machine compressors fail from continuous operation under high load, contamination of the refrigerant system with moisture that forms acid and causes internal corrosion, depletion of lubricating oil from refrigerant leaks, mechanical wear of internal components, or electrical motor failure. Failure symptoms include insufficient ice production, compressor running but no ice forming, unusual noises or vibration, hot discharge lines, or complete compressor shutdown. A non-functional compressor stops all ice production, requiring immediate replacement to restore ice availability for business operations.
