The Avantco Ice 19494430 drain valve is an OEM replacement component for select Avantco commercial ice machines. This drain valve controls the release of water from the ice machine's reservoir or water pan after the ice harvest cycle, allowing the machine to drain excess water and prepare for the next freeze cycle. The drain valve is essential for proper ice machine operation and water management.
Drain valves fail due to mineral deposits and scale blocking the valve port or seat, corrosion from prolonged water exposure, mechanical wear of seals and valve components, or solenoid failure in electrically operated valves. Symptoms of valve failure include water not draining from the ice machine, water overflowing from the reservoir, irregular drain cycles, or water backup into the freeze cycle. A non-functional drain valve prevents water drainage, causing the ice machine to malfunction and potentially overflow or produce poor quality ice.
Installation of the Avantco Ice 19494430 drain valve must be performed by a qualified ice machine service technician.
