    The TurboChef Cooking Mesh Basket is a direct replacement cooking accessory for TurboChef rapid cook ovens. The PTFE-coated wire mesh construction allows maximum hot air impingement to penetrate from all sides simultaneously, making it the preferred cooking vessel for products that benefit from all-around air contact such as sandwiches, wraps, breaded items, and similar handheld foods. Using the correct PTFE mesh basket ensures the wire gauge, mesh aperture dimensions, and coating thickness are compatible with the oven's impingement jet velocity, providing optimal air penetration without restricting flow in a way that would create uneven cook results.

    Over time, the original mesh cooking basket can suffer from PTFE coating wear, mesh wire deformation from mechanical handling, rust at areas of coating breach, and grease impregnation in the mesh apertures that is difficult to remove, which leads to food sticking, restricted airflow through the mesh, flavor transfer between products, and hygiene concerns during health inspections. Replacing the degraded basket with a new PTFE mesh cooking basket restores full mesh openness for unrestricted air impingement penetration and provides a clean, non-stick surface that releases food products without tearing or leaving residue. This helps ensure consistent all-around browning and heating results while maintaining the food safety standards required in a commercial kitchen.
