The Pitco Basket, Pasta, 5" Od X 7" H, S/S is a direct replacement stainless steel pasta basket for Pitco commercial pasta cookers. Measuring 5 inches in outer diameter and 7 inches in height, this round stainless steel basket is designed to hold a portion of pasta during immersion cooking in boiling water, then lift out cleanly for draining and plating. Using the correct pasta basket ensures proper fit within the pasta cooker's basket guide, the right capacity for a standard pasta portion, and the corrosion resistance of food-grade stainless steel for continuous hot-water service.
Over time, the original pasta basket can develop corrosion at weld points from prolonged immersion in hot salted water, mesh deformation from the weight of cooked pasta, or handle damage that makes safe retrieval difficult.
