The Baxter 01-1000V9-00181 is an OEM combination gas valve manufactured by White Rodgers for use in Baxter MHB24E, MHB24G, and OV-210 commercial rack ovens. The combination valve serves as the primary gas control assembly in the burner system, integrating multiple functions into one unit: it acts as the main gas shutoff, regulates outlet pressure to the specified 3.5" water column, and responds to the 24V control signal from the ignition or thermostat circuit to open and close gas flow on demand. White Rodgers (an Emerson brand) is the OEM manufacturer of this valve and the source from which Baxter sources this component.

This valve operates at 24V on 50/60Hz current, meaning it is controlled by the oven's low-voltage control circuit rather than line voltage. When the control system calls for heat, 24V is applied to the valve coil, opening the main gas port and allowing gas to flow to the burner. When the setpoint is reached or the safety circuit opens — such as when the ignition control detects a flame failure — voltage is removed and the valve closes, stopping gas flow. Common failure signs include the oven failing to light when the ignition sequence completes, the burner shutting off immediately after lighting, gas flow that does not stop when the oven is off, or the oven failing to maintain temperature due to insufficient gas pressure through a worn or stuck regulator stage.
