The Buckeye 20 lb Standard Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher is a high-capacity unit charged with sodium bicarbonate agent, providing powerful suppression of Class B (flammable liquids and gases) and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires. Sodium bicarbonate-based Standard Dry Chemical is not rated for Class A combustibles — it is purpose-built for flammable liquid and electrical fire hazards. At 20 lbs, this is the largest portable unit in Buckeye's Standard Dry Chemical line, making it appropriate for industrial facilities, fuel depots, commercial vehicle bays, marine environments, and other high-risk locations with significant Class B:C hazard potential.
This extinguisher ships with a wall hook mounting bracket for permanent fixed-location installation. The polyester epoxy powder-coated steel cylinder and all-metal valve assembly provide industrial-grade corrosion resistance and durability. Operating at stored pressure, it delivers a 28-second discharge with a range of 15–21 feet — the longest discharge duration in the Standard Dry Chemical portable line.
