Details

The Buckeye 5 lb Halotron Fire Extinguisher uses Halotron I clean agent to suppress Class B (flammable liquids and gases) and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires without leaving residue or causing secondary equipment damage. Halotron I is an environmentally responsible replacement for halon 1211, with extremely low ozone depletion and global warming potential, and is non-conductive — making it ideal for protecting computers, electronic data storage, telephone switch rooms, server rooms, and sensitive electronics. The 5 lb capacity delivers greater suppression power than the 2.5 lb vehicle-bracket model.

This unit features a fixed nozzle discharge and a vehicle bracket for on-vehicle mounting in cars, trucks, vans, and emergency vehicles. The steel cylinder with polyester epoxy powder coating and all-metal valve assembly provide rugged durability in mobile environments. Operating at 100 psi, it delivers a 9-second discharge with a range of 9–15 feet. It carries a UL rating of 5-B:C, manufactured to ANSI/UL 2129 and ANSI/UL 711 standards, with an operating temperature range of -40°F to 120°F.

This vehicle bracket variant shares the same 5 lb charge, fixed nozzle, and 5-B:C UL rating as the wall hook model, but is configured for secure on-vehicle mounting rather than wall installation — making it the right choice for mobile applications. The 9–15 foot range provides meaningful standoff distance from the fire source.
