The Buckeye 5 lb Halotron fire extinguisher is a clean agent suppression unit engineered to protect Class B (flammable liquids) and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires. It discharges Halotron I, a halocarbon-based agent that extinguishes fires without leaving behind any residue, making it an excellent replacement for halon 1211 extinguishers. It is the go-to choice for server rooms, data centers, telephone switch rooms, electronic data storage facilities, and offices where equipment preservation is as important as fire suppression.
This 5 lb unit carries a UL Rating of 5-B:C and operates at 100 psi with a discharge time of approximately 9 seconds and an effective range of 9–15 feet. The hose-equipped design provides superior directional control compared to fixed-nozzle models, enabling the operator to aim the agent precisely at the fire's base. It is mounted via a wall hook for easy access in corridor, lab, or office environments. Manufactured to ANSI/UL 2129 and ANSI/UL 711 standards, the steel cylinder features a polyester epoxy powder coat finish and an all-metal valve assembly. Operating temperature range is −40°F to 120°F.
