The Pitco Burner 12.5" CI is a direct replacement 12.5-inch cast iron gas burner for Pitco commercial fryers and cooking equipment. Cast iron construction provides the thermal mass and dimensional stability needed to maintain consistent flame distribution over thousands of heat cycles in a commercial kitchen environment. Using the correct cast iron burner ensures the correct port geometry and sizing for the fryer's gas manifold, delivering the rated BTU output and flame pattern the equipment was designed to produce.
Over time, the original cast iron burner can crack from thermal shock — particularly if water is splashed on the hot surface — or develop clogged ports from carbon and grease deposits that disrupt the flame pattern. Cracked or badly fouled burner ports produce uneven combustion, creating hot and cold spots within the fry vessel, increasing fuel consumption, and potentially producing dangerous incomplete combustion byproducts. Replacing it with this 12.5-inch cast iron burner restores a complete, properly ported combustion surface with the thermal mass to deliver steady, even heat throughout the cooking cycle.
Installation requires shutting off the gas supply, removing the damaged burner from its mounting and manifold connections, and securing the replacement.
