The Pitco Burner is a direct replacement gas burner for Pitco commercial deep fryers. It generates the combustion heat needed to bring cooking oil to temperature and maintain it throughout the frying cycle, operating on either natural gas or LP depending on the configured fryer model. Using the correct burner ensures the proper BTU output, flame pattern, and port geometry needed for complete, efficient combustion and even heat distribution across the fry vessel.
Over time, the original burner can become clogged with carbonized grease deposits at the burner ports, suffer corrosion or warping of the burner body from prolonged high-heat exposure, or develop cracks that disrupt the flame pattern. A degraded burner produces uneven or incomplete combustion, resulting in poor heat distribution, elevated gas consumption, slow oil recovery, and potentially dangerous conditions if combustion gases are not properly burned off. Replacing it with this burner restores factory-specified heat output and flame geometry, ensuring safe and efficient fryer operation.
Installation involves disconnecting the gas supply, removing the old burner, and securing the replacement in its mounting with the gas orifice and ignition components reconnected. It is recommended to replace the burner during any major combustion service or whenever flame irregularities cannot be resolved by cleaning and orifice replacement alone.
