PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Cleaner,Convoclean , 2.5Gal, 2 for Cleveland Part# C-CLEAN

Details
The Cleaner,Convoclean , 2.5Gal, 2 (Part# C-CLEAN) is a Cleveland-recommended descaling or cleaning product designed for use in Cleveland commercial steamer and cooking equipment. Regular use of the specified descaler removes mineral scale deposits — primarily calcium carbonate and magnesium buildup — from steamer boilers, heating elements, water lines, steam compartments, and spray nozzles, without damaging stainless steel, gaskets, or other internal materials.
Mineral scale accumulates in all commercial steamers operating on hard or moderately hard water supplies and is the primary cause of reduced cooking performance, elevated energy consumption, and premature component failure. A heavy scale buildup on heating elements acts as a thermal insulator, causing elements to overheat and burn out well before their normal service life. Clogged steam nozzles and passages reduce steam flow, leading to uneven cooking and extended cook times.
Descaling should be performed according to the frequency and dilution instructions specified in the Cleveland equipment manual and on the product label. Ensure the equipment is cool and properly set to the descaling or clean mode before introducing the solution. Allow the descaler to circulate or dwell for the specified time to dissolve mineral deposits, then flush the system thoroughly with clean water before returning the unit to food-service operation. Proper PPE including gloves and eye protection should be worn when handling descaling chemicals.
