PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Contactor 4P 30/40A 208/240V for Jackson Part# 05945-109-01-69

Details
The contactor (Jackson Part# 05945-109-01-69) is a 4-pole, 30/40 Amp electrical switch rated for 208/240V operation in Jackson commercial dishwashing systems. This replacement controls the flow of electrical power to high-amperage loads such as circulation pumps, heating elements, and solenoid valve coils. The contactor receives switching signals from the equipment's control board and manages power delivery to equipment components during the wash cycle sequence.
Contactors experience failure when electrical arcing between contacts creates pitting and surface erosion, preventing reliable electrical connection and causing intermittent power delivery to connected components. The arc produces intense heat and magnetic forces that can fuse contacts together or burn them open. Symptoms include equipment components that activate sporadically, cycle operations that stall unexpectedly, or major loads not receiving power despite control signals. A failed contactor prevents the equipment from executing wash cycles reliably.
Contactor replacement must be performed by a qualified technician experienced with commercial electrical systems due to shock hazard and the high current involved. Electrical power must be completely isolated and verified absent using a multimeter before any work begins. Following installation, operate the dishwasher through multiple test cycles, confirming that all contactor-switched loads activate and deactivate reliably as programmed. Periodically inspect contactors for arcing damage, contact surface pitting, or unusual heat generation, and replace them if contact degradation is detected.
