Details
The Convotherm Main-contactor 18A Convotherm (Part# 5056373) is a genuine OEM replacement electrical protection/switching component for Convotherm combi ovens and steamers. Installed in the control circuit of Convotherm combi ovens and steamers, this component either protects the circuit from overload or switches power to a connected load on command.
Components like this see repeated switching cycles and, over time, thermal stress from the current passing through them, both of which contribute to wear. A failing unit typically presents as a circuit that will not stay energized, nuisance trips, or a component that fails to switch the load it controls at all.
A qualified electrician should de-energize and verify zero voltage on the circuit before removing the failed component and noting its wiring. Install the new component in the same position, reconnect wiring, and test the circuit under normal load to confirm correct operation before closing out the repair.
