The Pitco Disconnect - 3/8" Male is a direct replacement male gas disconnect fitting for Pitco commercial fryers. This 3/8-inch male quick-disconnect allows the fryer's gas supply hose to be connected and disconnected from the building gas supply safely and without tools, facilitating fryer repositioning, service, and cleaning. Using the correct male disconnect ensures a secure, leak-free coupling with the matching female fitting and compliance with the gas connection configuration the fryer was designed to use.
Over time, the original disconnect can suffer wear on its internal locking mechanism, degradation of the internal valve seat, or corrosion of the fitting body from moisture and grease exposure in the kitchen environment. A worn or damaged disconnect can leak gas when connected, fail to lock securely, or become difficult to engage and release, creating safety risks during any procedure that requires moving or servicing the fryer.
