Details

The Dormont 16100KIT48 is a complete deluxe gas connector kit for commercial kitchen equipment with 1" gas supply connections. The kit centers on Dormont's Blue Hose® — a corrugated 304 stainless steel tube wrapped in tight-weave stainless steel braid and finished with an antimicrobial PVC coating that slows the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew on the connector surface. With a minimum flow capacity of 334,000 BTU/hr, this kit is sized for higher-demand commercial cooking equipment such as large ranges, fryers, and combination ovens that draw more gas than smaller appliances can supply through a 1/2" or 3/4" connection. The total installed length of the assembly is 48", and the stainless construction allows it to flex safely with caster-mounted equipment that rolls away from the wall for cleaning and service.

The SnapFast® quick disconnect included in this kit is Dormont's exclusive one-handed design — engineered to connect and disconnect with a single hand, making it practical in the cramped spaces behind commercial cooking equipment. A pull of the operating ring disconnects gas flow instantly for safe maintenance; reconnection is just a push and a click. An internal thermal shutoff provides an additional safety layer by automatically closing gas flow if the fitting temperature reaches 350°F. The kit also includes a full port ball valve, two 1" 90° street elbows for routing flexibility, and Stress Guard® rotational end fittings that reduce installation stress and prevent hose kinking.

The restraining cable and all mounting hardware are included — a restraining device is required by most commercial kitchen codes and local AHJ inspectors throughout the United States. The 16100KIT48 is rated for indoor use only and is NSF certified and CSA C/US certified for commercial foodservice applications. Dormont backs the Blue Hose® with a lifetime warranty. For equipment requiring a smaller connection, the Dormont 1675KIT48 (3/4") and 1650KIT48 (1/2") are the equivalent kits in those diameters. This kit is made in the USA.
