The Dormont 1675KIT48 is a complete deluxe gas connector kit designed for moveable commercial kitchen equipment connected to 3/4" gas supply lines. The kit centers on Dormont's industry-leading Blue Hose® — a corrugated 304 stainless steel tube wrapped in tight-weave stainless steel braid and finished with an antimicrobial PVC coating that slows the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew on the connector. The braid construction is what allows this hose to be safely used with caster-mounted equipment that rolls out from the wall for cleaning and maintenance, unlike standard residential-grade connectors. The total installed length of the assembly is 48", covering the connection between the gas supply stub and most standard commercial appliance inlets.
The SnapFast® quick disconnect included in this kit is Dormont's exclusive one-handed design — the only quick disconnect on the market engineered to connect and disconnect with a single hand, making it ideal for use in the tight spaces behind commercial cooking equipment. When the pull ring is released, the coupler shuts off gas flow instantly for safe maintenance. An internal thermal shutoff provides an additional layer of protection by automatically closing gas flow if the temperature inside the fitting reaches 350°F, a safeguard designed for fire emergencies near the connection point. The kit also includes a full port ball valve, two 3/4" 90° street elbows for routing flexibility, and Stress Guard® rotational end fittings that reduce installation stress and prevent hose kinking.
The restraining cable (model RDC48) and all mounting hardware are included, which is required by most commercial kitchen codes and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) inspectors in the United States. The restraining device prevents the hose from stretching beyond its rated travel and reduces strain on the gas connection as equipment is moved. This kit is rated for indoor use only, is NSF certified for food equipment safety, and holds CSA C/US certification for use in the US and Canada. Dormont backs the Blue Hose® with a lifetime warranty. For equipment with 1/2" connections, Dormont offers the 1650KIT series; for 1" connections, the 1600KIT series.
