Details

The Doyon 50-1461 is a genuine OEM rotating rack motor designed specifically for the Doyon SRO series rack ovens. This motor provides the motive force that drives the SRO's internal rack rotation system, turning the loaded rack continuously through the bake cycle to ensure every tray position receives equal exposure to the oven's circulating heated air, producing a consistent bake across all trays without operator intervention or tray rotation.

The 50-1461 rack rotation motor is connected to the SRO's rotating mechanism through the drive assembly and gearbox, which reduces the motor speed to the correct rack rotation rate. Continuous rack rotation is the defining feature of the SRO's baking performance, eliminating the temperature gradients found in static-rack ovens and allowing the SRO to achieve more consistent baking results with less operator oversight than conventional rack oven designs.

Failure symptoms for the rack rotation motor include the rack stopping rotation during a bake cycle, the motor running but the rack failing to turn (indicating a coupling or gearbox failure between the motor and the rotating mechanism), motor thermal overload tripping, or unusual noise from the motor during rotation. A rack that rotates intermittently is often an early indicator of motor brush wear in DC motor designs or bearing wear in AC motor designs.

Replacement should be performed by a qualified technician. The oven must be de-energized and the rack positioned in a stable, lowered state before work begins. The motor is disconnected electrically and decoupled from the drive assembly. The new 50-1461 is installed, coupled to the drive, and connected electrically. An empty rack rotation test should be performed before the oven is loaded for production.

The genuine Doyon 50-1461 provides the factory motor specification for SRO rotating rack drive applications, ensuring reliable continuous rack rotation and consistent SRO baking performance throughout the oven's service life.
