The Doyon ELM795 is a genuine OEM motor and gearbox assembly designed for the rack rotation drive system in Doyon SRO and SRO2G series rack ovens. Operating at 230V on 50 or 60 Hz power, this integrated motor and gearbox assembly provides the controlled rotational drive that turns the oven rack through its continuous rotation cycle during baking, ensuring even product exposure to the heated airflow from all sides.

The rack rotation drive is central to the SRO's convective baking performance. The ELM795 motor and gearbox assembly drives the rotation mechanism at a precisely controlled speed that allows the rack and all its loaded trays to complete a full rotation during each baking cycle. This continuous rotation eliminates the hot spots and cold zones that are inherent in static-rack oven designs, producing a more consistent bake across every tray position simultaneously.

Failure of the motor and gearbox assembly presents as the rack stopping rotation during a bake, the rack turning irregularly or at an incorrect speed, excessive noise from the drive assembly, or the motor drawing excessive current and tripping the thermal overload. A seized gearbox without motor noise is also possible if the gearbox lubricant has broken down or the internal gear train has failed.

Replacement should be performed by a qualified technician with the oven de-energized. The existing assembly is disconnected electrically and mechanically from the rack drive train, the new ELM795 is installed in its mounting position and connected to the rack drive mechanism, and the electrical connections are made per the wiring diagram. The rack should be run through a complete rotation cycle to verify smooth operation before the oven is returned to service.
