The Doyon ELT516-JA is a genuine OEM programmed temperature control designed specifically for the Doyon JA-series and CA-series deck ovens. As a factory-programmed controller, the ELT516 is pre-configured with the temperature range, PID control parameters, and output relay configuration appropriate for JA and CA oven applications, providing a drop-in replacement that restores full temperature control functionality without requiring parameter configuration in the field.

The ELT516 controller manages the oven's heating element cycling to maintain the operator-set deck temperature. It reads the oven's temperature sensor signal, compares it to the setpoint, and activates or deactivates the heating elements through its output relay to hold the oven at the desired baking temperature. The JA and CA program configuration optimizes the controller's PID tuning for the thermal mass and heating element layout of these specific oven models.
