The precise, leak-free operation of the gas valve is essential for safe burner operation and consistent baking results.
Signs of gas valve failure include the burner failing to light despite correct ignition module function (valve not opening), the burner going immediately to lockout indicating the valve is not flowing gas to the burner, the equipment displaying a gas pressure fault code, or a gas odor near the valve body indicating valve seat leakage. Any suspected gas leak requires immediate equipment shutdown and inspection by a qualified gas service technician.
Replacement must be performed by a qualified gas service technician with the gas supply shut off at the upstream shutoff valve.
