The Doyon Steam Element 230V, 800W (Part# MER0129) is a genuine OEM replacement heating element for Doyon bakery ovens and proofing equipment. As the heat source for Doyon bakery ovens and proofing equipment, this element converts electrical current into the heat the equipment relies on for normal operation.

Repeated thermal cycling and sustained high-temperature operation gradually stress a heating element's material, leading to slow heat-up, uneven heating, or an eventual open circuit and total loss of heat.

Replacement should be performed by a qualified electrician or technician. Lock out and de-energize the circuit feeding the element, then disconnect the wiring leads, noting their positions, and remove the element from its mounting bracket or housing. Install the new element in the same position, reconnect wiring, and restore power, testing for proper heat-up and even temperature distribution before returning the unit to service.
