Details

The Doyon PAR975 is a genuine OEM swivel caster without brake, designed for use on the rolling baking racks loaded into Doyon SRO series rack ovens. The swivel caster allows the rack to maneuver freely in any direction on the bakery floor during loading, transportation between the proofing area and the oven, and staging operations, enabling efficient bakery workflow without the handling challenges of rigid-wheel racks.

Rack oven production depends on the ability to move loaded racks quickly and precisely between the proofing cabinets, makeup tables, and rack ovens. The PAR975 swivel caster provides the full 360-degree rotation needed to maneuver a loaded rack in tight bakery floor spaces. The non-braked design allows the rack to roll freely without requiring the operator to engage or disengage a brake, streamlining the transfer process during high-volume production runs.

Signs that a caster requires replacement include the wheel failing to swivel freely indicating bearing seizure, visible flat spots or cracks in the wheel tread from hard use, the swivel bearing becoming stiff or grinding during turns, or the caster mounting stem or wheel fork becoming deformed from overloading or impact. A failed caster that causes the rack to drag or tip during transfer creates a safety hazard in the bakery environment.

Replacement should be performed by removing the failed caster from the rack's caster socket or mounting plate. The new PAR975 is installed in the same position. All four casters on a rack should be inspected when one is replaced, as casters typically reach similar wear levels after the same period of use.

The genuine Doyon PAR975 is designed to the load rating and swivel geometry required for SRO rack service, providing durable, free-rolling caster performance that supports efficient rack oven production workflow in commercial baking environments.
