The Drain Valve 1/4" (Part# KE50570) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement drain component for use in Cleveland commercial steamer and cooking equipment. Drain components manage the discharge of condensate, cleaning solutions, and excess water from the cooking compartment and boiler system, essential for maintaining a clean, sanitary cooking environment and enabling proper equipment flushing and servicing.
Drain components can accumulate mineral scale deposits that restrict or completely block drainage, corrode from exposure to the hot water and steam environment, or suffer mechanical failure of valve seats and actuator mechanisms. A blocked or failed drain can cause water to accumulate in the cooking compartment, prevent proper descaling operations, or lead to overflow conditions that create slip hazards and sanitation concerns.
Drain component replacement should be performed by a qualified service technician with the equipment shut down, cooled, and drained of all water. Remove the old drain component from its installation point, clean the surrounding area thoroughly, and install the new Drain Valve 1/4" with appropriate thread sealant or gaskets as required.
