The Pitco Drain Valve is a direct replacement drain valve for Pitco commercial deep fryers, providing the primary shutoff between the fry vat and the drain line used for oil changes, filtration, and vat cleaning. Designed for high-temperature cooking oil service, it opens and closes with a single handle motion to allow controlled draining of hot oil into a filter pan, transport container, or waste vessel. Using the correct drain valve ensures the proper port diameter, handle orientation, and connection thread for the specific Pitco fryer model's drain assembly.
Over time, drain valves can develop internal seat leaks from carbonized oil deposits that prevent the valve from fully closing, or the valve stem packing can fail and allow oil to leak around the shaft, creating burn and slip hazards for kitchen staff. A leaking drain valve also makes it impossible to accurately monitor oil levels and can cause oil loss during normal frying operations. Replacing the worn valve with the Pitco-compatible drain valve restores a positive, leak-free shutoff that can be operated safely during hot oil draining procedures.
