The Pitco Dual Solenoid Valve 3/8" 120V is a direct replacement dual-solenoid gas valve for Pitco commercial gas fryers requiring a two-stage gas control system. It houses two independent 120VAC solenoid sections in a single valve body, allowing the control system to stage gas delivery to the burner in two steps — such as a low-fire ignition phase followed by a high-fire cooking phase. Using the correct dual solenoid valve ensures both solenoid coils operate at the correct voltage and the valve flow characteristics match the fryer's burner staging requirements.
Over time, one or both solenoid coils can fail independently, and the valve seats can wear or become contaminated, causing the fryer to be unable to achieve one or both firing stages. A single coil failure in the dual solenoid valve may result in a fryer that cannot ignite or cannot reach full operating temperature. Replacing the dual solenoid valve with a compatible unit restores both stages of gas delivery control.
Installation requires a qualified gas technician to correctly connect both solenoid wiring circuits and all gas fittings with proper sealing compound. A manometer check of outlet pressure and a functional test of both firing stages must be performed after installation.
