The Pitco DVI Switch is a direct replacement Drain Valve Interlock switch for Pitco commercial fryers. This safety switch prevents the fryer from heating or operating when the drain valve is in the open position, ensuring that cooking oil cannot be drained while the fryer is actively running. Using the correct DVI switch ensures proper contact rating, actuator type, and wiring interface for the Pitco interlock circuit.
Over time, the DVI switch contacts can become contaminated or worn from the grease-laden air and repeated mechanical cycling at the drain valve, causing the switch to stick in the open or closed state and either disable the fryer unnecessarily or fail to provide the intended safety shutoff.
