PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Electrode Probe for Cleveland Part# 40462

Details
The Electrode Probe (Part# 40462) is a Cleveland-compatible replacement spark electrode for use in Cleveland commercial gas-fired cooking and steamer equipment. The electrode provides the grounded or live terminal that generates the high-voltage spark arc required to ignite the pilot or main burner, manufactured to the correct material specification and geometry for consistent spark generation in the Cleveland burner configuration.
Spark electrodes degrade over time from the repeated high-energy spark discharge that occurs at each ignition cycle, as well as from contamination by grease, carbon, and mineral deposits in a commercial kitchen environment. A worn electrode may have an enlarged gap due to tip erosion, a cracked or contaminated insulator that causes the spark to track to ground, or a corroded terminal that weakens the connection to the ignition lead.
Electrode replacement should be performed by a qualified gas appliance technician with the gas supply shut off and the unit de-energized. Remove the electrode from its mounting bracket near the burner assembly, disconnect the ignition lead, and install the new Electrode Probe in the same position. Set the electrode gap to the specification in the Cleveland service documentation if adjustable. Reconnect the ignition lead and test ignition through multiple cycles to confirm consistent spark and reliable burner lighting.
