The Pitco Fry Basket is a direct replacement fry basket for Pitco commercial deep fryers. Constructed from food-grade stainless steel wire mesh and a formed wire frame, it is designed to hold food product during immersion frying and to lift it cleanly from the oil when the cook cycle is complete, allowing oil to drain back through the mesh quickly. Using the correct fry basket ensures proper fit within the fry vessel, the correct mesh opening to retain product while allowing oil to drain freely, and compatibility with the fryer's basket support and hanger system.
Over time, the original fry basket can develop oxidation and corrosion at wire welds, mesh deformation from heavy product loads and thermal cycling, or handle fatigue that creates a risk of failure during basket retrieval. A basket in poor condition is both a food safety and a safety-of-operation concern — corroding wire can contaminate food, and a structurally weak basket can fail while being lifted from hot oil. Replacing it with this fry basket restores full structural integrity, correct oil drain-back performance, and safe handling characteristics for the production frying environment.
