Installed between mating components on Garland commercial ranges, griddles, and cooking equipment, this gasket prevents leakage of heat, moisture, or pressure past the joint it seals.

Gaskets are compressed every time the assembly they seal is closed or cycled, and repeated exposure to heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals causes the material to harden, crack, or lose its compression set over time. Once that happens, the seal typically shows up as a visible leak, a loss of heat or pressure, or excess condensation escaping past the joint.
