The Gas Control Valve 1/2" 24V (Part# GAC230) is an aftermarket-compatible replacement gas control valve designed for Doyon gas-fired deck ovens, pizza ovens, and related baking equipment in the JA, CA, and PIZ series. This 1/2" FPT valve operates on a 24V control signal and is manufactured to meet the same functional specifications as the original Doyon GAC230, ensuring a direct drop-in fit without modification to existing gas lines or wiring.
The gas control valve serves as the primary regulator of gas flow to the main burner assembly. When the ignition control module sends a 24V signal, the valve opens to allow gas to flow to the burner; upon de-energization, it closes immediately to cut off gas supply. This fail-safe operation is critical for both consistent baking performance and equipment safety in a commercial kitchen environment.
Signs that this valve needs replacement include the burner failing to light despite a functioning spark electrode, inconsistent flame that fluctuates during operation, or gas that continues to flow after the oven is shut down.
